Places of historical interest in Pierrelatte...

There are all sorts of interesting places to visit at Pierrelatte: the XIIth century "Chapelle des Pénitentes", the open-air "Théâtre de Verdure", the "Old City", and the "Friday Provencal market" which takes place around the Hotel du Centre.

The Crocodile Farm:

In the Rhône Valley 10 minutes from the A7 motorway (exit Bollène or Montélimar Sud).
The Crocodile Farm is open all year round (including Sundays and Bank Holidays).

Not to be missed either is the only Crocodile Farm in Europe, a huge tropical greenhouse, which specialises in research on reptiles and helps to protect endangered species in their natural environment.
